CVS 130 - Cardiac Sonography III 2 Credit Hours In this course, students will learn about the different Congenital Heart Defects that may be encountered as a Cardiac Sonographer. Students will define the echocardiographic characteristics of Congenital Heart Defects that are commonly seen during an echocardiogram. Students will learn about the normal Aortic anatomy and defects that can be seen on echocardiograms including aortic aneurysms, dissections, and coarctations. Students will describe and explain the different types of cardiac masses and tumors pertaining to their appearance and location on an echocardiographic examination.
