CVS 113 - Vascular Sonography I 2 Credit Hours In this course, students will learn the anatomy and microanatomy of the upper and lower extremities, and the cerebrovascular system. The students will then apply their knowledge of the arterial anatomy to identify factors that control peripheral blood flow and physiological changes associated with arterial disease, and the knowledge of venous anatomy will allow students to understand venous hemodynamic forces and hydrostatic pressure. The students will also learn the differences in flow seen in the peripheral vascular system versus the cerebrovascular system.
Prerequisites: HC 117 , HC 118 , HC 118L , MATH 103 or MATH 114 , CNA certificate or HC 106 , PHYS 100
