Sports Turf Management, AAS

Sports Turf Management is an exciting field that blends the individual’s love for the outdoors and the dynamics of creating and maintaining golf courses, sports facilities, and landscapes on a residential and commercial level.

Sports Turf managers work with a variety of specialized equipment to maintain the surrounding plant environment. This field is truly for those who enjoy outdoor activities.

Many Southeast Tech students have found employment at local, regional and national golf courses in the United States. Recently, several students were recruited to work as Sports Turf Managers at professional and semi-professional baseball diamonds across the country. Others have found employment with major sports complexes and with cities taking care of the “green” areas owned and operated by local government entities.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: This degree is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech IT Support Center.
