Network Administrators are responsible for the computer network infrastructure, insuring connectivity for users. They maintain connectivity and security of the routers, switches, and wireless equipment that modern networks depend on. Network administrators also install and maintain the security aspects of network operating systems like Windows, Novell and Linux.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Network Administration, a student will be able to:
Science & Technology
- Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and technical proficiency on various computer network operating systems, desktop operating systems, installed software, attached peripherals, and other computer networking equipment.Analyze and summarize the effect of newly released technologies and upgrades on existing systems.
Problem Solving/Critical Thinking
- Demonstrate troubleshooting skills on various computer network operating systems and desktop operating systems.
- Demonstrate troubleshooting skills on various computers, peripherals, and computer networking equipment.
- Determine proper configurations compatibility for computer operating systems.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment for the purpose of improving throughput, or operation of a system.
- Determine work-around solutions for critical situations until long term solutions are found.

- Demonstrate safe working practices with computers and related equipment.
