RT 101 - Introduction to Respiratory Care 3 Credit Hours This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the field of respiratory care. In this course, students will examine the historical development of respiratory care, develop a comprehensive introductory understanding of the roles and responsibilities carried out by Respiratory Therapists, and become well-versed in essential terminology. Moreover, students will be introduced to a range of equipment and practices that form the foundation of respiratory therapy, preparing them to build upon their knowledge in subsequent program courses.
Prerequisites: CHEM 106 , CHEM 106L , MATH 103 or MATH 114 , HC 118 , HC 118L , ENGL 101 , PSYC 101 , * CPR
Corequisites: RT 101L , RT 102 , RT 102L , RT 200
