CODE 210 - Advanced ICD-10

3 Credit Hours

Students will develop an understanding of the structure of ICD10PCS. Accuracy in abstracting information and applying ICD10CM and ICD10PCS codes in the inpatient hospital setting will be the focus of this course. DRG-based payment systems will be studied, and POA indicators will be applied. The importance of ethical coding and compliance is reinforced.
