CODE 112 L - Basic CPT Coding Lab

This laboratory course provides hands-on application of CPT and HCPCS Level II coding using current official guidelines. Students analyze outpatient and professional services documentation to accurately assign and sequence procedure codes, apply modifiers, and validate compliance with regulatory and reimbursement requirements. Emphasis is placed on data quality, ethical coding practices, and professional performance in a simulated healthcare environment.

Prerequisites: ENGL 100 or ENGL 101, HC 110, HC 118/HC 118L, HC 128
