CODE 110 - Basic ICD10CM Coding

This course is a basic introduction to the ICD10CM coding classification system. Students will learn the format and proper techniques for looking up diagnosis codes. Students will practice assigning diagnosis codes and validate coding accuracy according to the patient health record. Diagnosis codes will be assigned from the ICD10CM manual and Encoder software.

Prerequisites: ENGL 100 or ENGL 101, HC 110 or HC 118/HC 118L, HC 128
