|
Upon completion of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Cardiovascular Sonography, a student will be able to:
Technical Skills
- Accurately recognize the sonographic appearance of normal and variant peripheral veins and arteries, the cerebrovascular system, the heart muscle, heart valves, and pericardium.
- Optimize sonographic images using sonographic physics principles, including multi-dimensional imaging and Doppler techniques to obtain accurate diagnostic criteria.
- Safely and optimally operate sonographic equipment and implement corrective actions as needed.
Problem Solving/Critical Thinking
- Recognize pathology and correlate related physiology to acquire sonographic images and information for diagnostic interpretation of structures of the Cardiovascular System.
Professionalism
- Defend and maintain ethical health care standards related to HIPAA.
