Upon completion of a Diploma in Dental Assisting, a student will be able to:

Technical Skills

• Student will perform dental assisting skills and procedures in the clinical environment.
• Student will be able to prepare and manipulate dental chairside and laboratory materials along with fabricating dental models, trays, and appliances.
• Student will be able to identify current principles and guidelines of infection control, aseptic techniques, and hazards management.

Problem Solving/Critical Thinking

• Student will perform dental radiographic procedures.

Professionalism

• Student will be able to explain professional and ethical behaviors required for dental professionals.

• Student will explain dental administrative management procedures.
