Residential Heating & Air Conditioning Technology, Diploma


Upon completion of a Diploma in Residential Heating & Air Conditioning, a student will be able to:

Science & Technology

  • Prevent, identify, or solve problems with equipment, using various test equipment.
  • Choose procedures, tools or equipment to make necessary repairs.
  • Understand overall intent and proper procedures for setup and the operation of various types of equipment.
  • Utilize time management skills to complete work as scheduled.
  • Participate in industry training to enhance his or her ability to keep abreast of changes in the field.
  • Locate, understand, and interpret information found in manuals, graphs, and schedules.
  • Respond to verbal directions and or messages necessary to perform tasks pertinent to this career.

Problem Solving/Critical Thinking
