AEMT 210 - Advanced EMT Clinical Concepts 4 Credit Hours This course builds upon foundational EMT knowledge and focuses on the clinical principles required for Advanced Emergency Medical Technician practice. Emphasis is placed on advanced patient assessment, clinical decision-making, pathophysiology, pharmacology concepts, and the integration of medical and trauma care across the lifespan. Students develop the ability to recognize and manage common emergent conditions through the application of evidence-based assessment findings, treatment priorities, and AEMT-level interventions. Topics include advanced airway considerations, vascular access principles, medication administration concepts, cardiology fundamentals, shock, neurological emergencies, and special patient populations.
