RT 109L - Respiratory Care Pediatric/Neonatal Advanced Life Support Lab 1 Credit Hours This laboratory course equips respiratory therapy students with the specialized skills and techniques vital for managing pediatric and neonatal emergencies. Emphasizing hands-on, simulated real-world scenarios, students will learn and practice the applications of advanced airway management, mechanical ventilation adjustments, and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation tailored specifically for Neonates and Pediatric patients. Recognizing the physiological differences and unique needs of these populations is essential, and students will be trained in the latest guidelines and standards as established by the American Heart Association. Prerequisite knowledge in basic life support and foundational respiratory care is required for optimal understanding and performance in this lab.
