BHT 160 - Group Dynamics and Techniques 2 Credit Hours This course explores effective leadership, communication, and relationship-building techniques for group work. Students will be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies for entry level practice with individuals in group settings. Students will learn key concepts related to group leadership, managing group dynamics, planning and implementing groups, assessing and evaluating groups, and ending group work. Course content will examine the stages of group development, the role of the facilitator, the recognition of group dynamics and cohesion, and the role of the members within the group. Evidence-based theories and practice models will be explored.
Prerequisites: BHT 100
