Upon completion of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, a student will be able to:
Technical Skills
- Conduct standard field and laboratory tests related to the civil engineering field and to analyze and interpret the results.

Utilize survey equipment and proper methods appropriate for land measurement and/or construction layout.

Utilize principles, hardware, and software that are appropriate to produce drawings, reports, quantity estimates, and other documents related to the civil engineering field.
Problem Solving / Critical Thinking

Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the engineering design of systems, components or processes appropriate to the discipline.

Perform standard analysis and design within surveying/geomatics technology to the goals of land information systems, engineering project surveying, photogrammetry, mapping and geodesy.

Analyze data for conformance with precision and accuracy requirements.

Communication
- Apply written, oral, and graphical communication in well-defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature.
