Students who have not completed the prerequisite coursework required for STI’s Cardiac Ultrasound Technology, AAS , Vascular Ultrasound Technology, AAS , Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, AAS , and Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Abdominal/OB/Gyn (DMS), AAS programs are required to take and successfully complete STI’s Health Pre-Program Preparatory Coursework (see “Additional Information” below regarding DMS program requirements).
Students accepted into the Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, AAS or Nuclear Medicine Technology, AAS extended preparatory program are required to take and successfully complete specific STI Health Pre-Program Preparatory Coursework (see “Additional Information” below regarding Nuclear Medicine and Electroneurodiagnostic Technology requirements.)
The Health Pre-program Preparatory Coursework helps students build foundational skills prior to beginning program-specific coursework. Students must complete the required coursework below with a ”C” grade or higher in each course before continuing into program-specific coursework. See Southeast Tech Admissions staff for additional information.
NOTE: Students in Pre-Program Preparatory Coursework who will start program-specific coursework in 2015-2016 are required to complete HC 106 as stated below. These students, however, will not be required to take the HC 121 and HC 121L courses when they enter their program-specific coursework.
