Love being an LPN but looking for more opportunity? As a Registered Nurse, you can move forward in the rewarding field you already know and love. Expand your knowledge and expertise as a nurse which will complement the technical skills you already possess as an LPN.

This degree is a perfect fit for Southeast Tech LPN graduates or other LPNs who have 750 hours of documented work experience. Just plug your LPN diploma in and move forward with your Registered Nurse, AAS Degree!

Graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN and be licensed as an RN after approval by the Board of Nursing in their state of residence.  Students who are not South Dakota residents or South Dakota residents who are seeking employment outside South Dakota should contact that state’s Board of Nursing for any additional requirements.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: This degree is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech IT Support Center.

Additional Information


*Incoming students are required to show current proof of certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) for Health Care Providers through the American Heart Association.

Requirements: Achievement of a “C” or higher for CHEM 106 , CHEM 106 L MICR 231  PHGY 210  and all NURS courses.

Students entering a program in any semester other than outlined may not graduate in the expected amount of time.
