ME 222 - Quality tools and Design with Lab 3 Credit Hours This course will cover the field of quality engineering principles and practice. Principles such as quality mindset, continuous improvement, lean and others will be introduced through the history of the advocates of quality including Shewhart, Demming, Juran, Taguchi and others. A wide range of measurement equipment will be used extensively through application of gage capability, reverse engineering and group projects. Process capability will be covered through a major class project, and the results will be interpreted through application of SPC.
Prerequisites: ME 224 , MCT 121
