MLT 110 - Medical Laboratory Fundamentals

2 Credit Hours

Students will learn laboratory instrumentation including advanced laboratory automations used in today’s laboratory workforce. Students will be instructed on proper testing methods and procedures associated with medical laboratory technology and the diagnostics associated with advanced Quality Control with simulation laboratory instrumentation. Students will learn the purpose and technique behind collections, preparation of laboratory specimens, such as venipunctures and capillary sticks, reporting laboratory results and correlations of laboratory results with diagnoses.
