ST 124S - Clinical Practice II 10 Credit Hours This course is a continuation of ST 114. It consists of a minimum of 36-40 hours per week of surgical technology practice in operating rooms setting at a hospital in the Midwest region. Students will apply their knowledge of surgical techniques and procedures, equipment, instruments, and supplies and increasingly develop skills. Students will also continue to build on the number of surgical cases. Please see appendix for Core curriculum requirements regarding number of Surgical Cases needed to complete the Surgical Technology Program at Southeast Technical Institute. Students will complete the following Surgical Specialties units as a self-study: Cardiothoracic, Oral Maxillofacial, Ophthalmic, Otorhinolaryngology, and Plastics & reconstructive.
Prerequisites: ST 112 , ST 114 , ST 120 , ST 122 , ST 123 , Permission of Program Chair
