Paul has been teaching at Southeast Tech since 2004, and is currently working on his bachelor’s degree in Adult Education at Bellevue University.
Paul worked for Baete-Forseth as a service technician for several years before joining Johnstone Supply as a salesman and technical support specialist. He also stays active in the HVAC industry installing servicing and repairing heating and cooling equipment as a self-employed contractor.
Paul thinks watching students learn and grow is the best part of a job as an instructor. He has worked with students from 18 to 56 years of age and all backgrounds, and continues to learn each and every day from both the ever changing industry and the students themselves.
Paul’s interests and hobbies include spending time with family, friends and his dog at their family lake cabin, hunting and fishing and just enjoying life.

Before beginning a career in HVAC/R, Daniel explored diverse educational and occupational opportunities. After receiving a degree in Philosophy from Augustana University in 2011, he enrolled in the Student Affairs Administration program at South Dakota State University. While studying and researching, he instructed a first-year seminar and oversaw two residence halls. Immediately following completion of his graduate degree in 2014, Daniel moved to the small community of Carmen Pampa, Bolivia to volunteer at a university serving a primarily rural population of students. For seven months he helped manage the community service program all students were required to participate in. This hands-on experience inspired Daniel to pursue a technical education. In 2017, he graduated from Southeast Tech with an AAS in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R). During school and following, he worked for a commercial HVAC company in Sioux Falls, SD.
