Southeast Tech Scholarships

For 2018-2019, Southeast Tech is offering up to $220,000 in scholarships available to eligible students.  These scholarships generally range from $500 to $1,000 and are made available through the generous donations of businesses, organizations, alumni, faculty, staff and community members who care about the future of Southeast Tech students and want to help them reach their educational and career goals.  More than 240 scholarships are expected to be awarded for 2018-2019.

In order to be considered for a scholarship, students must be accepted into a Southeast Tech program and in most cases are required to be a full time student.  Most scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis, so early application is recommended.

All scholarships require students to complete an online application at southeasttech.fluidreview.com.  By completing one scholarship application, students will be considered for numerous scholarships.

A separate application is required for the Build Dakota Scholarship.  Please see Admissions for details.

(NOTE:  Scholarship offerings are subject to change and awards may vary from year to year.  Not all applicants are guaranteed a scholarship.  Only one scholarship per individual.)

Southeast Tech Foundation Mission

The Southeast Tech Foundation obtains, manages and allocates contributions to support Southeast Tech students as they reach their potential and achieve their goals for employment, professional growth and life-long learning.

A Solid Foundation for Tomorrow’s Workforce

Since our beginning in 1968, Southeast Tech and our graduates have supplied a solid foundation for the workforce needed in our region. The Southeast Tech Foundation Board raises funds from businesses, organizations, alumni, faculty, staff and community members who care about the future of Southeast Tech students and want to help them reach their educational and career goals. These graduates become a very important part of our region’s workforce. The Southeast Tech Foundation Board encourages businesses which employ our alumni to invest in the future with a contribution to our Annual Workforce Development Fund Drive.

The Southeast Tech Foundation also encourages additions to our Southeast Tech Endowment Funds for scholarships or program development needs. These permanently endowed funds are held at the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation utilizing their professional investment and management skills.

Please contact the Southeast Tech Institutional Advancement Officer at 605.367.7464 for more information.

Recognition

An annual recognition event is held, giving investors the opportunity to meet scholarship recipients who will be the workforce of the future. All investors are also acknowledged on the online donor site and on the donor recognition wall located in the Sullivan Health Science Center.
