Upon completion of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Digital Media Production Technology, a student will be able to:
Science & Technology
- Efficiently use various industry software such as: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Flash and Autodesk Maya.
- Apply design principles to various layouts/packages.
- Manage production efficiently.
- Meet the challenge of multitasking.
- Track progress and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate fluency and reliability on both Macintosh and Windows platforms.
- Work with a variety of peripheral hardware, such as printers, scanners, cameras and projectors.
Problem Solving/Critical Thinking
- Prevent and troubleshoot problems with equipment, hardware and software.
- Understand computer-related compatibility and use of peripherals.
- Understand interoperability, cross-platform issues, and preflighting standards.
- Identify major processes associated with equipment.
- Prepare, design and develop solutions for varied media, and audiences.
- Analyze needs of clients to build creative and workable solutions.
- Choose appropriate tool and/or software application for given need.
- Formulate and consider various options.
- Associate, rank, and prioritize steps in a process.
- Edit and revise written content and related visual elements.
- Prevent technical problems through advance planning and quality control.
- Manage personal and project scheduling; predict workflow.
- Suggest efficient division of project components with colleagues and outsourcers.
