Network Administrator (Evening), AAS


Upon completion of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Network Administration, a student will be able to:

Science & Technology
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and technical proficiency on various computer network operating systems, desktop operating systems, installed software, attached peripherals, and other computer networking equipment.
  • Analyze and summarize the effect of newly released technologies and upgrades on existing systems.
Problem Solving/Critical Thinking
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills on various computer network operating systems and desktop operating systems.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting skills on various computers, peripherals, and computer networking equipment.
  • Determine proper configurations compatibility for computer operating systems.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment for the purpose of improving throughput, or operation of a system.
  • Determine work-around solutions for critical situations until long term solutions are found.
Professionalism
  • Demonstrate safe working practices with computers and related equipment.
  • Demonstrate effective customer service/relations skills, including communications and problem solving directed at customer satisfaction.
