Entrepreneurship (Online), AAS


If you can’t wait to open your own business, get the tools you’ll need to be a success from the start. The Entrepreneurship program is a two-year AAS program designed to provide students and graduates of other programs with the skills needed to be a successful small business owner. Learn skills in management, marketing, accounting, communication, human resources, business law and computers.

Plug into your specialty! Double majoring in specialized career fields is an excellent way to attain this degree. Examples of degrees from Southeast Tech include:

Learning Outcomes


Upon completion of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Entrepreneurship, a student will be able to:

Problem Solving/Critical Thinking

  • Identify characteristics of business structures.
  • Analyze basic financial statements for decision-making purposes.
  • Demonstrate awareness of cultural and societal diversity.
  • Seek further information in their field to keep current through research techniques.
  • Seek membership in professional organizations.
  • Understand retailing concepts and practices.
  • Understand and prepare basic financial statements.
  • Tailor a professional resume and cover letter to specific job postings and career opportunities.

Professionalism

  • Exhibit professional and ethical behaviors.
  • Demonstrate awareness of cultural and societal diversity.

Communication

  • Create professionally written business document.
  • Demonstrate positive verbal communication skills.
  • Facilitate, participate and document an effective business meeting.
  • Write an effective and complete business plan.

Requirements: Achievement of a grade of “C” or higher for BUS 140 , BUS 210 , BUS 212 , BUS 218  , BUS 225 , BUS 226 , BUS 230  and CIS 105 

Students entering a program in any semester other than outlined may not graduate in the expected amount of time.
