The Behavioral and Mental Health Technician Associate Degree Program will equip students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to the growing human services field of mental and behavioral health and addiction care. Students in this program will learn to advocate for individuals of all ages and abilities in a trauma-informed, patient-centered manner in order to meet the mental and behavioral health needs of the region.

Students will receive education and training through interactive courses and integrative, real-world learning experiences via clinical rotations and field internships. Those who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of individuals affected by mental or behavioral health concerns and/or substance use disorders are encouraged to explore this Associate of Applied Sciences degree to prepare for a rewarding career path.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: This degree is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech IT Support Center.
 

Program Curriculum | 67 Credits Minimum


Additional Information


Students are required to show current proof of certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) for Health Care Providers through the American Heart Association by the start of BHT 170S .

Programmatic courses must be taken in sequence.

Students entering a program in any semester other than outlined may not graduate in the expected amount of time.
