HVAC/R Technology, Diploma

Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning/Refrigeration technicians install, service, maintain, and repair a variety of air moving and air tempering equipment. They will work with blueprints to fabricate and install duct work, tubing, and/or piping circuits. The use of torches, various power tools, and numerous hand tools will be necessary to perform the specific task.

These technicians will also use many pieces of electrical and mechanical test equipment to determine system problems. The technician will perform his or her job both indoors and outdoors based on the type of equipment worked on.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: This degree is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech IT Support Center.
