Students in the Heavy Equipment track will study auxiliary drive systems and the abnormalities in construction and ag equipment, electro hydraulics, powertrains and computer controlled systems. Each program course has a hands-on lab component where students practice their skill with mock-ups and live work in Southeast Tech’s true-to-life diesel laboratories.

If working on heavy machinery and agricultural and construction equipment is your focus, consider the 1-year Diesel Technology: Heavy Equipment diploma at Southeast Tech. The diploma can be combined with a second diploma in Trucking and general education courses to obtain an associate degree.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: This degree is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech Support Center.
