Students in the Trucking track will focus on over-the-road engine systems, body controls, chassis systems, electronic controls and preventative maintenance. Each program course has a hands-on lab component where students practice their skill with mock-ups and live work in Southeast Tech’s true-to-life diesel laboratories.

For Diesel Technology students that wish to focus on the trucking industry, Southeast Technical College’s 1-year Trucking diploma program may be a good fit. The diploma can be combined with a second diploma in Heavy Equipment and general education courses to obtain an associate degree.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: This degree is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech IT Support Center.
