The Dental Assisting program prepares students for dental assisting procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist. As a dental assistant, you will play a key role in assisting dentist and hygienists in the many dental offices in Sioux Falls and across the nation. A professional dental assistant is integral to the many tasks required for oral healthcare, such as preparing x-ray machines, ordering supplies, mixing impression materials, record-keeping and instructing patients on oral care.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS: This degree is a Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program. You may purchase a laptop on your own or from the Southeast Tech IT Support Center.
