Civil Engineering, the original engineering discipline, involves the design, construction and maintenance of vital infrastructure such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, utility systems and buildings.  Civil Engineering Technicians perform an essential role as they work alongside land surveyors and engineers performing technically advanced tasks.  These challenging tasks include surveying with robotic and GPS instruments, preparing construction documents with 3D CAD software, testing construction materials for specification compliance and also performing various support calculations for drainage, earthwork, pavement and utility layouts and land surveys.

A challenging and rewarding career begins with the Civil Engineering Technology program.  A career that allows you to be a part of the survey, design and construction of municipal infrastructure projects from concept through completion.
