NURS 210 - Nursing Across the Lifespan I 4 Credit Hours Lifespan I concentrates on the health and illness of individuals and families across the lifespan by identifying patient centered care. In collaboration with their peers, the student will utilize critical thinking skills, as demonstrated by the use of the nursing process, evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives to formulate safe and holistic plans of care. Concepts of health promotion, nutrition and technology, including electronic medical records, are introduced. Subject areas include those with mental health needs, fluid and electrolyte balance and the childbearing and child-rearing families. There is a clinical component to this course.
