ECH 110 - Child Health/Safety/Nutrition 3 Credit Hours This course emphasizes how current concepts in health, safety and nutrition relate to the growth and development of a young child. It blends current theory with practical applications and assessments. The course includes the influences of family diversity, child abuse and mental and physical health. In addition, students are introduced to state licensing rules and regulations and federal regulations such as the Head Start Performance Standards that apply to various early childhood settings.
