2 Credit Hours The primary theme for this course is attitude, attendance and professionalism. Discussions and activities will center around this theme. This course helps students prepare for their eight week clinical rotation and realize the jobs and tasks that are expected of a Phlebotomist. Issues discussed include: specimen processing, attendance, dress, confidentiality, professionalism, having a backup plan (when kids are sick, car problems etc.), dealing with difficult patients, and drawing blood from patients in a variety of clinical or home environments.
