9P3 Building Relationships with Service Providers

STI builds relationships with organizations which support operations. Because STI is part of the Sioux Falls School District, many of these processes, policies and contractual requirements mirror those of the district. Formal contracts must be approved by the Sioux Falls School Board and may require vendors to participate in a bidding process. Many organizations have had relationships with STI for numerous years, providing consistency in delivery of services. By working within the district, STI has realized cost savings in certain areas due to the district’s ability to buy products in bulk.

Table 9.1 provides examples of the principal organizations that provide services or materials to STI.
