Upon completion of a Certificate in Computer Support, a student will be able to:
Technical Skills
- Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and technical proficiency on various computer network operating systems, desktop operating systems, installed software, attached peripherals, and other computer networking equipment.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access and Powerpoint.
- Problem Solving/Critical Thinking
- Demonstrate troubleshooting skills on various computer network operating systems and desktop operating systems.
- Demonstrate troubleshooting skills on various computers, peripherals, and computer networking equipment.
- Effectively use tools for basic computer construction, troubleshooting and wiring.
- Effectively install, configure, and operate Windows and computer diagnostic software
- Understand the OSI model and TCP/IP.
- Identify the main components of a LAN and WAN and have an applied knowledge of their use and function.
- Effectively install, configure and operate Network software.
- Analyze network hardware and software problems and effectively troubleshoot issues.
