Upon completion of a Certicate in Certified Nursing Assistant, a student will be able to:

• Demonstrate basic nursing assistant skills
• Explain Certified Nursing Assistant’s role in safety and emergency procedures

• Discuss need for and promote residents’ independence

• Demonstrate professional workplace communication and punctuality

• Obtain South Dakota Nursing Assistant certification for two years
