Upon completion of a Diploma in Welding, a student will be able to:

Technical Skills

• Explain how the different types of electrical currents control welding profiles.
• Identify and diagnose equipment setup and repair.

Problem Solving/Critical Thinking

• Troubleshoot and repair welding machines and shop equipment.
• Fit test plates together per AWS D 1.1 Code

Professionalism

• Demonstrate proper use of PPE and safety of operating equipment in the shop.

Communication

• Develop skills for communicating with crew members, vendors, and manufacturers to be successful in the welding field.
