Upon completion of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in HVAC/R Technology, a student will be able to:

Technical Skills

• Install HVAC/R equipment, controls, and parts for safe and efficient operation.
• Handle refrigerants in accordance with section 608 of the Clean Air Act.
• Utilize HVAC/R tools and equipment effectively.

Problem Solving/Critical Thinking

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair HVAC/R equipment to operational and efficiency standards.

Professionalism

• Exhibit safe work habits to minimize injury.

 Communication

• Develop skills for communicating with customers and other trades to bring projects to completion.
