Upon completion of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Land Surveying Science Technology, a student will be able to:

Technical Skills

• Apply and understand survey processes and methods.
• Employ industry-standard software to solve technical problems.
• Apply technical concepts to the design of measurement systems to meet project requirements.

Problem Solving / Critical Thinking

• Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the engineering design of systems, components, or processes appropriate to the discipline.
• Perform standard analysis and design within surveying/geomatics technology to the goals of boundary, land information systems, engineering project surveying, photogrammetry, mapping and geodesy. 
• Analyze data for conformance with precision and accuracy requirements.

Professionalism

• Function effectively as a member of a technical team. 

Communication

• Apply written, oral, and graphical communication in well-defined technical and non-technical environments; identify and use appropriate technical literature.
