Upon completion of an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Accounting, a student will be able to:

Technical Skills

• Prepare and interpret financial statements and individual tax returns utilizing appropriate computerized software.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) -Assumptions.

Problem Solving/Critical Thinking

• Apply quantitative skills to analyze and solve business problems and to maximize business opportunities.
• Create, interpret, and evaluate significant financial statements. 

Professionalism

• Collaborate and interact with other team members to support organization goals. 
• Use effective time management skills. 

Communication

• Communicate financial and non-financial results effectively with colleagues and clients through written, verbal, and non-verbal methods.
