Dental Assisting, Diploma

Upon completion of a Diploma in Dental Assisting, a student will be able to:

• Develop and define clinical skills in chairside, radiographic and dental laboratory procedures
• Demonstrate the ability to manage asepsis infection control and hazard protocol to provide a safe work environment
• Adhere to professional conduct and ethic, legal practices and HIPPA requirements.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in the area of office management, filing, billing and use of computer management systems.
• Master basic dental theory and competencies for successfully completion of the dental assisting program and Dental Assisting National Board Exam.
