The South Dakota Board of Education has approved Southeast Tech to grant the associate of applied science degree, diplomas and certificates.
Many Southeast Tech programs maintain specialized accreditations. Some of these include:
Automotive Technology and Collision Repair Technology
The Automotive Technology and Collision Repair Technology programs are certified as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) programs by the ASE Education Foundation (ASEEF).
Cardiac Sonography, Vascular Sonography, Invasive Cardiovascular, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, and Surgical Technology
These programs are accredited by CAAHEP, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.

Dental Assisting

The Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) has authorized graduates of Southeast Technical College’s Dental Assisting program to earn credentialing through DANB’s National Entry Level Dental Assistant (NELDA) certification program. Graduates from Southeast Tech’s Dental Assisting program will be eligible to complete the three-part NELDA exam for certification.
At this time, the program is not approved and not accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Southeast Tech is currently working on an application for accreditation through CODA and plans to submit this application for review by CODA in the future.

Welding
Southeast Tech is the first Accredited Test Facility (ATF) in South Dakota through the American Welding Society. Diploma students earn two AWS welding certifications by completing the program.
