Brett began teaching at Southeast Tech in 2008. He holds a CNMT certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board and is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging.

Before teaching Brett took the education he received in Nuclear Medicine from Southeast Tech and worked in hospitals on both the East and West Coast, before returning to the Midwest.

About his teaching philosophy Brett states “I push and encourage students to reach their full potential to be the best they can be. As future health care workers, I tell the students that they should treat every patient as if they are a loved family member.”
“As an educator, I think of myself like a coach, I will provide my students with the playbook(materials and resources) they need to be successful, but it is up to them to study the playbook.”

Brett’s hobbies and interests include spending time with family, snowboarding, golf, challenging exercise and traveling to new places.
