 Catherine J. Rasmussen
Instructor Catherine attended Southeast Tech as a student in the Health Information Services Diploma program in the spring of 2012, while making a career change from many years in financial services. While at Southeast Tech, she developed a great interest in the medical coding field and achieved her AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification and began 6+ years of medical coding experience. During that time, she worked as an office manager in a smaller clinic setting, which allowed her to experience and understand the impact of coding to the practice’s entire revenue cycle.
Catherine received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration-Accounting and her Associate of Arts Degree in Electronic Data Processing from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. She then achieved the Health Information Services Diploma from Southeast Tech.
