Terry has been working as an instructor for sixteen years. He has an extensive background in manufacturing. In addition, he has worked on air ambulances by making major repairs & alterations and also in the mining industry repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.

Terry is an AWS certified welder, an AWS certified welding inspector, an AWS certified welding educator along with being the general manager for the ATF where his duties include being a test supervisor and facility representative.

His goals for his students is for them to reach their full potential and to become successful in life and the welding industry.

His interests outside of work include tinkering on his old pickup, playing with his dog Ellie, and enjoying time at his lake cabin with his wife, family and friends.

Shaina Johnson

Shaina began working at Southeast Tech as a Welding Lab Specialist but as the welding industry boomed, so did the welding department and she is now one of the welding instructors. Along with teaching the professional welding courses during the day, she also teaches a mechatronics welding course, a class for the welding hobbyists, and a night AWS certification class.

Shaina graduated from the Welding Program from Southeast Tech with a welding diploma and three AWS weld certifications. After graduation she went to work in the manufacturing industry where she became a fabricator along with being a welder. Shaina worked with all types of materials, thicknesses, welded in all positions and all joint designs.

Shaina enjoys sharing her knowledge with her students and watching them grow as individuals, especially in a career that will never fade and only prosper.

Her interests away from work include any outdoor activity, cooking, being at the lake and reading.

Clinton M. Mack

Clint began working as a lab specialist in the fall of 2013. He specializes in MIG welding and has an American Welding Society Certification in Flux Core Arc Welding. Clint has been welding since 1998 and has been welding in the industry for 15 years. Clint started welding because he enjoys taking his ideas and bringing them to life.

During his free time, he enjoys tinkering in his shop and farming with his brother. Farming with his brother allows him to build and repair equipment for the Family Farm and surrounding neighbors.
Clint has had the opportunity to work for several companies where he has honed his welding skills, including Angus Palm Industries, Daktronics, Wilson Trailers and Iron Ranch MFG.

Clint thoroughly enjoys his role with Southeast Tech. The position has allowed him to continue to develop his welding skills, interact with a new generation of welding professionals, and learn the ins and outs of education. He is looking forward to several more years at Southeast Tech.’
