For thirteen years Lloyd was the Mechanical Engineering Technology instructor retiring in 2013. After a year of retirement he realized he missed teaching more than he realized. He returned as an adjunct math instructor in the fall of 2014 and will now be one of the Mechanical Engineering instructors and is very excited about being here.

Lloyd’s work experience includes working as a journeyman carpenter, millwright, and machinist. Working on projects from residential carpentry to coal fired steam turbine overhauls. Before he started teaching he was the training coordinator in the Toolroom for Hutchinson Technology in Sioux Falls.

The difference is in its application. His teaching philosophy is as a mentor mentee with both bringing much knowledge to the classroom.
